   'Supergirl' Spoilers: CBS Series To Introduce More Female Superheroes In

   During a recent roundtable with reporters, executive producer Ali Adler   
   revealed that the CBS superhero drama is planning to introduce a female   
   superhero or two in future episodes of its freshman run, ComicBook.com   
   reported.   
      
   When asked whether Kara (Melissa Benoist) will interact with other female   
   characters aside from her sister Alex (Chyler Leigh) and boss Cat (Calista   
   Flockhart), Adler said, "We're actually doing that now in our backorder from   
   CBS, so we're actually working on that right now. Absolutely. There might be   
   a little twist to that too."   
      
   When pressed whether those new female characters might be a bit more super,   
   she replied, "These are all very good questions, [but] yes."   
      
   The exact identities of those female characters are currently unknown at   
   this point, but The Mary Sue reported last month that "Buffy the Vampire   
   Slayer" alum Emma Caulfield was joining the cast as Cameron Chase, so she   
   could be one of   
   those characters.   
      
   According to the character description obtained by the website, Chase has   
   dedicated her life to law enforcement since the violent murder of her   
   father. "Now a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase's weapons of choice   
   are manipulation and manpower," the description states. "With little   
   sympathy, and plenty of suspicions, she pursues her targets with ruthless   
   determination.
