   'Cruel Intentions' TV series in The Works!

   I know, I know... You're probably thinking, "No way! This CAN'T be real!" or   
   even "Oh God, did they have to go and ruin another one of my favorite   
   movies?" Personally, I think this is going to be A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. So before   
   you guys go and get your knickers in a twist, how about checking out a few   
   reasons why this show will kick ass?   
      
           This Is NOT A Remake!   
   And thank God for that!   
      
           Timing Couldn't Be Better!   
   Not only 'til recently did movie fans actually start entertaining the   
   thought that their favorite flick could continue in TV series form.   
   Nowadays, movies are being developed into TV shows left and right and many   
   of them seem to be succeeding surprisingly well! Scream and Teen Wolf, for   
   example. Not to mention SMG has the natural ability of successfully turning   
   a film into a TV series (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, duh!) Which leads us   
   into...   
      
           The Return of Kathryn Merteuil!   
   Sarah Michelle Gellar blew us all away back in '98 when she played her most   
   iconic role yet, so could we really expect any less from the great SMG now?   
   According to The Inquisitr, the show will be all about her! "The NBC series   
   is set in present day and picks up the story about 18 years after the 1999   
   film left off. NBC’s Cruel Intentions is centered around gorgeous yet   
   dangerous Kathryn Merteuil, who aspires to control Valmont International.   
   Gellar’s character also vies to have control over Bash Casey, the son of   
   Annette Hargrove and the late Sebastian Valmont." Care to make a wager on   
   Kathryn seducing our young Bash? ; - )   
      
   Gellar has been so enthusiastic about her reprising her role, she's been   
   filling up her Instagram page with posts about how excited she is! As of   
   today, she's already posted three pictures: One of her debuting the new   
   Kathryn hairdo, another of the pilot script's cover page, and finally this   
   seductive photo (which is clearly an homage to the original- notice the   
   cross and the mirror?)   
      
           The Confirmed and Possible Return of Others   
   Roger Kumble, the genius behind the original, is coming back to write and   
   direct the series! Meaning that all the sexiness, allure, and wit from the   
   original will be coming back with him! We may even get surprise cameos from   
   Selma Blair and Reese Witherspoon! After all, the show will revolve around   
   Annette's son... It'd only make sense that Witherspoon reprises her role (if   
   only for an episode or two.)
