   Boreanaz a Happy Birthday With Throwback Pics: ‘Immortality Looks Good on

   Buffy besties! Sarah Michelle Gellar wished her former Buffy the Vampire   
   Slayer costar David Boreanaz a happy 47th birthday on Monday, May 16, in an   
   adorable Instagram post almost 13 years after the series wrapped.   
      
      
   The actress, 39, shared a collage of three photos from their days playing   
   love interests on set, with Gellar starring as Buffy Summers and Boreanaz as   
   the cursed vampire Angel. In one picture, their faces are almost touching as   
   they both hold swords. In the other two snaps, the on-screen couple holds   
   hand as they walk through the snow.   
      
   “When you hear it’s someone’s birthday, and you realize how long you have   
   known them #happybirthday David,” Gellar wrote. “Immortality looks good on   
   you #davidboreanaz.”   
      
   The former costars seem to still have a lot of love for each other. Last   
   year, the Bones actor wished Gellar a happy birthday in a cute exchange and   
   she responded, “Always my #angel.”   
      
   Back in 2014, Gellar said she has been friends with the actor ever since the   
   show first started filming in 1997. “There’s a connection that David and I   
   will always have and we’ve always remained in touch, but what was so much   
   fun this year was we were working on the same lot, so when I had a break I   
   would walk over and watch them tape a show or try to steal food from Bones   
   catering because they had way better catering than we did,” she joked in an   
   interview with Parade.com of filming The Crazy Ones. “And David knows I’m   
   purely motivated by food!”
