|    Joss Looks to Direct 'Black Widow' Movie    |

From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://metro.co.uk/2016/07/24/joss-whedon-would-love-to-direct-a       black-widow-solo-movie-6025927/              Joss Whedon would love to direct a Black Widow solo movie              Avengers director Joss Whedon says he’d love to direct a Black Widow solo       film, if Marvel asked of course. Rumors of a solo-outing for Scarlett       Johansson’s Black Widow have been circling for what feels like an eternity,       with Marvel’s Kevin Feige declaring they’re ‘emotionally committed’ to       making a film, but now Joss Whedon has thrown his interest towards the       project.              Speaking in an interview with IGN, Whedon said: ‘If someone pointed at me       and said, “Do you want to do a Black Widow movie?”, the answer would be       “Duh!”              ‘I think that character really is very interesting and very earthbound, so       it’s the kind of action that I got to do less of with somebody like Thor or       The Vision.       ‘When you get into your “Superman” territory it’s harder to maintain       the       gritty action that the Russo brothers do so brilliantly and she’s that kind       of thing and [you can] really do a spy thriller.’ he added.              Whedon at the helm of a Black Widow movie would certainly feel like a smart       move, considering his excellent leg-work already on the Avengers movies and       his history with brilliant female characters like Buffy The Vampire Slayer.              It would be peak time for a Black Widow movie too, considering Scarlett       Johansson recently won the title of the highest grossing actress ever.              Marvel’s female superhero love however is improving however, with Brie       Larson having just been cast in their first female superhero film, Captain       Marvel.              Your next dose of Marvel however will arrive later this year on October 28       when Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange releases in cinemas.               [a few pics with article]                     http://daviderl.com/ .       http://daviderl31.blogspot.com/              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
