|    BtVS Reboot?    |

Sarah Michelle Gellar drops hints about Cruel Intentions reboot — and a
   possible Buffy one?

Now a wife, mother and business owner, Sarah Michelle Geller has learned
plenty in the years since her many cult classic roles. But as she revealed
at this year's BlogHer conference, the door could still be open to revisit
   her career-making turns.

Fans will pick up their stakes in glee to hear that Gellar isn't saying no
to a Buffy the Vampire Slayer reboot. "Look, you never know," she told
   conference-goers.

But she admits that a new generation of Buffy viewers could have more to
learn from a new kind of slayer. "That being said, the point of Buffy — what
was so special about it, why it still resonates today — was it was a
metaphor for the horrors of high school, the horrors of that time of growing
up," she said. "The monsters were literally the manifestation of the horrors
of that time. I think that's a very specific story. If you’re talking about
   now, that's a very different story, and I don’t know… I don’t know what
   that
   story is now."

But Geller isn't averse to the idea of a new slayer, with a whole new
generation of horrors. "The whole idea of Buffy giving her power… at the
end, the lore was 'unto one generation a slayer is born, there could only be
one,' and at the end, we broke that. Why does there only have to be one?"

She already has one idea for a potential new version of the series —
cyberbullies as the vampires. "Bullies were a literal bully when Buffy was
growing up. They punched, they were physical... Well, now a bully is
something that you hide behind on a screen. What is that story? But I think
that story would have to be told with someone of that age."

{ [ONE] new Slayer? After Willow's trick, maybe she should have said
100 new Slayers. Unless it is a completely brand new BtVS, with only one in
   each generation.}

While the Buffy reboot is still a wish on a star, Cruel Intentions is very
much happening. Gellar tells fans to "look for an announcement probably in
the next month and a half."

The journey has been difficult, she admits, but fans have already been
waiting since 1999. What's a few more months? "We have some exciting stuff
planned, and it’s going to be good," she says. "The road is taking a little
longer than normal, but we’ve all been adamant that to do it, we have to do
it right, and we have to do it. It’ll probably start filming at the
   beginning of next year.”

The good news is, it'll be just as controversial as the original. Gellar
says it's a "naughty" show that "pay[s] homage to what it is." Consider my
   calendar marked.
