   Emma Caulfield to Guest Star on Training Day   
      
   Anyanka is finding herself in the crosshairs for CBS’ new series adaptation   
   of Training Day. TV Line reports that Emma Caulfield, who played the   
   vengeance demon Anya on Buffy the Vampire Slayer, has booked a guest   
   starring appearance on the midseason crime drama for an early-season   
   episode.   
      
   Caulfield will play Lauren, a warm, sympathetic single mom who spent the   
   last nine years raising her young daughter alone and in hiding after her   
   husband (Cougar Town‘s Brian Van Holt) went to jail for killing a man in   
   self defense. When a natural disaster forces Lauren out into the open, her   
   hubby must break out of prison in order to save their lives.   
      
   Caulfield’s recent TV appearances include a guest spot on Supergirl season   
   one and a recurring arc on ABC’s Once Upon a Time. Training Day picks up 15   
   years after the events of the 2001 film and centers on about an idealistic   
   young police officer (Justin Cornwell) who is appointed to an elite squad of   
   the LAPD where he is partnered with a seasoned, morally ambiguous detective   
   (Bill Paxton).
