From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              http://www.digitalspy.com/tv/ustv/news/a812595/sarah-michelle-ge       lar-buffy-knowledge-is-seriously-lacking/              Sarah Michelle Gellar's knowledge of Buffy the Vampire Slayer is seriously       lacking -       "I swear to God I was on the show!"              Considering Sarah Michelle Gellar starred in Buffy the Vampire Slayer for       seven seasons, you'd think she'd be quite the expert on the show and her       character.              But while many fans have quotes, facts and figures all memorized and ready       to reel off at the drop of a hat - just mention "cookie dough" to any Buffy       fan and you'll see what we mean - it turns out that having spent more than a       decade away from the show has actually left Gellar a little rusty on some of       the finer details.              The good sport that she is, Sarah appeared on a three and a half minute fan       quiz video with SheKnows. The rules were simple: they asked Sarah Buffy       trivia questions and if she got them wrong then her friend had to eat a       piece of gum.              What could possibly go wrong?              They opened with an easy question: "Before they became vampires what were       Spike's and Angel's names?" Thinking hard, she got half of it right saying:       "William the Bloody! Right? That's one! That's Spike. Does she only have to       have half a piece of gum 'cause I got half of it right?"              But even after being given a little hint - "it starts with an 'L' and it's       sort of Irish" - Sarah still couldn't get Angel's real name (which is Liam,       if you're wondering).              After experiencing a bit of winning streak with two answers in a row, the       quiz soon got the best of her when she was faced with such questions as "how       many times was the show's theme remade?" and "what word did the writers make       up to describe vague, mystical things?".               [Okay, both questions stumped me. I thought the theme was remade       only once, but I can't be sure. No clue about he "word" - oogly-booglies?]              She was asked: "Who said this, and about which two characters? 'You're not       friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love until kills you both.'"              Which we all know was said by Spike in the season three episode 'Lover's       Walk' about Buffy and Angel, right? Here's your proof: [watch the video!]              Well, it looks like Sarah has managed to block that part of Buffy and       Angel's story from her memory, because her guess was that it was about       Cordelia and Xander.              And it looks like her friend, co-founder and CEO of Foodstirs Galit Laibow,       was as horrified as we were at this point, asking Sarah: "Were you on this       show?!"              "Maybe I wasn't on this show," the actress replied. "Maybe I was on Dawson's       Creek. Is there a Dawson's Creek quiz?"              Well, Gellar. You may have failed the Buffy test this time, but there's       always re-runs.               [in her defense - it WAS a decade ago. And as fast as they had to       prep and rehearse and remember script after script after script, it is       surprising any of them remember anything at all about the show]                     David              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
