From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              ;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;                     http://www.news.com.au/national/breaking-news/alyson-hannigan-is       keen-for-himym-return/news-story/ee2008a6083355168d50e336658bcf0e              Alyson Hannigan is keen for HIMYM return               Alyson Hannigan says she's definitely up for a How I Met Your Mother       revival              However, the actress pointed out it could be tricky to work around the       series ending which finished with a glimpse into the future, showing what       happened to the five main characters.              "I think the creators kind of blew it ... they sort of gave away the       life-after-the-show in the finale. I was like 'you guys, don't give away       everything then we can't come back'," Hannigan told AAP.               The actress has come up with a way around that ending and pitched it to       one of the show's creators, Craig Thomas.       "I was like 'you could just have one of us go into the room with the kids       and say 'no that's not how the story happened, it's like this' and just       start over from the beginning from somebody else's perspective," she said.              The rumblings of a return for the popular comedy received traction recently       after 20th Century Fox chairman Dana Walden said she hoped to revisit the       show's characters, if the cast was up for it.              But Hannigan says she hasn't heard anything official yet. "We had a lot of       little email exchanges about that and it was funny. It would be awesome but       I haven't had any phone calls," she said.              She would return to the show "in a heartbeat" and her Australian fans will       get a chance to quiz her further about that when she comes to Melbourne next       month for Oz Comic-Con.              Fans will also get to chat to her about the enduring appeal of the show that       made her famous, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.               "I feel like it's (Buffy) more popular today than it was back then when       we aired because now I feel like all the people who loved it when they were       growing up, now they have children and they're showing it. And with the way       entertainment is nowadays nothing is really gone, with the internet       everybody sees it forever," she said.               The show, created by director Joss Whedon, was a groundbreaking       comedy/drama and Hannigan's character Willow was one of the first lesbian       characters to appear in a TV show aimed at teenagers.               "I was so excited to be a part of that storyline and how Joss handled       the relationship and I thought that was amazing," she said. "I still meet       people today who are just so grateful that they had that character in their       lives growing up, it really helped them in such a profound way. I do think       that it was a little ahead of its time, so I sort of often wondered that if       it aired now it would be really really popular because it still holds up."               Hannigan will appear at Oz Comic-Con at the Melbourne Convention and       Exhibition Centre on July 1-2.                     David              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
