   Actress Sarah Michelle Gellar recently travelled to Peru in search of “the   
   world’s best chocolate.” Though many know the star from her role as Buffy   
   the Vampire Slayer, Gellar has a passion for sustainable food production.   
   Together with longtime friends Galit Laibow and Greg Fleishman, she runs   
   Foodstirs, an LA-based start-up selling GMO-free baking kits and dessert   
   mixes. “We’re determined to help bakers around the world take pride in   
   their   
   pantries, joy in their treats, and time together in the heart of the home”,   
   the trio declare on their site.

   Gellar documented her colorful trip to South America on her Instagram   
   channel, and in one post can be seen in a lab with a barrel of cocoa beans,   
   complete with hair net:

   “Time to make the chocolate. The real (and most important) reason I was in   
   #Peru was to source the world’s best chocolate. At @foodstirs we only use   
   the finest, non gmo, organic, fair trade and sustainable ingredients the   
   world has to offer. How do we know? Because we (literally) travel the world   
   to find them. Anyone who knows me, knows I care equally about how my food   
   tastes and what it takes to get it there. I want to know that from the   
   farmers lives, to the factory and to you, people are treated fairly and   
   ethically. So I present you the …finest and most delicious chocolate, made   
   by me!!”

   Of course, the star made time to explore the wonders of Peru before heading   
   back to the States. In one snap, she’s posing in front of the incredible   
   Incan citadel of Machu Picchu:   
      
   “I came….I saw….I conquered!!! #Machupicchu It was as breath taking and   
   as   
   incredible as I imagined. “It is better to see something once, than to hear   
   about it a thousand times”   
      
   In another, she’s seen holding a baby alpaca as she chats to a group of   
   traditionally-dressed locals: “Making new friends….complete honesty, I   
   contemplated asking the alpaca if I could wear his necklace.”
