   I can see where Whedon would be annoyed when the 'fans' starting making   
   goo goo eyes at a character that he intended to be a   
   villain...especially since the show had already done the plot where   
   BUFFY sleeps with the evil vampire Angel.  That being said, the above   
   exchange sounds more to me like sarcasm and horseplay between Whedon and   
   Marsters.
