   'This one time, at band camp': Actress Alyson Hannigan reveals the   
   surprising way THAT iconic line from American Pie impacted her career   
      
      
   She uttered one of the raciest lines ever to co-star Jason Biggs in the teen   
   sex comedy classic, American Pie.   
      
   And now, Alyson Hannigan, 44, has revealed how that one phrase: 'This one   
   time at band camp,' impacted her career.   
      
   Speaking to Stellar Magazine on Sunday, Alyson said it affected her career   
   positively with fans still yelling the line to her on the street.   
      
   They do [yell it on the street] no matter how much time has gone by,' the   
   actress said of the film, that was released in 1999   
      
   She continued: 'When we did that film, it was kind of a little thing we   
   didn't know would live on for decades.'   
      
   Alyson, who also appeared in cult classic TV shows Buffy The Vampire Slayer   
   and How I Met Your Mother, added she liked doing projects that audiences   
   liked.   
      
   I've had a career where people still remember all these shows I've been on.   
   It's quite cool; I just want to do stuff that people like.'   
      
   Alyson, who is married to fellow former Buffy star Alexis Denisof, now has   
   two children Satyana, 9, and Keeva, 6.   
      
   Speaking of her work on the American Pie series, Alyson said she hoped her   
   two daughters see the film when they were older.   
      
   Elsewhere in the interview, Alyson, who starred in a number of teen sex   
   movies,  reflected on her own teenage years saying they were miserable.   
      
   She admitted she felt 'depressed' which she displayed outwardly by wearing   
   black clothing and coloring her trademark red hair black.   
      
   Taking on a vastly different role, Alyson will soon appear on the new TV   
   series Fancy Nancy Clancy, playing Nancy's mom Claire.   
      
   Airing on The Disney Channel, Alyson went on to say she felt the show   
   encourages individuality and being passionate about what you like.
