From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              https://1428elm.com/2019/02/02/sarah-michelle-gellar-buffy/              Sarah Michelle Gellar is moving on from Buffy the Vampire Slayer              by Susan Leighton @SusanontheLedge                     Sarah Michelle Gellar will always be remembered fondly for her turn as Buffy       the Vampire Slayer. However, the actress admits that she won’t be a part of       the upcoming reimagining of the series.              Sarah Michelle Gellar is a perennial fan favorite for her role in the WB       series, Buffy the Vampire Slayer. At last year’s San Diego Comic Con, Joss       Whedon surprised everyone by stating that he had a reboot in the works for       the popular show. Shortly after that announcement, the fan backlash was       pretty substantial so the new show runner, Monica Owusu-Breen came out and       reassured everyone that it was a sequel with a new slayer.              So, now that particular confusion is cleared up, how does the cast feel       about this turn of events? David Boreanaz who played Angel is a supporter       stating, “It’s great, it’s cool.” He is also fine with someone else       taking       over his character because he has no interest in returning.              How does the original slayer feel about revisiting her old stomping grounds?       In a recent interview with The Wrap, Gellar had this to say:              “I think that it’s a great story and I’m glad that it will get retold and       hope that people will watch it. But, you know, I’ve told my story with it.”              Which is probably sad news for those fans that were still holding on to hope       for a possible reunion on the sequel. However, Sarah Michelle has other fish       to fry. She is turning her attention to business pursuits.              Gellar has created her own organic baking company with two of her lifelong       friends called Foodstirs. In addition to that, she has become the face of       Olay beauty products and will be appearing in a Super Bowl ad. This marks       the first time the well-known manufacturer has done a commercial during that       coveted time spot.              However, the actress is looking to produce a limited series with Ellen       DeGeneres. So, followers can look forward to that venture. It is based on       the book, 'Sometimes I Lie by Alice Feeney. This will be a return to the       darker side for Gellar.              The novel revolves around a woman named Amber Reynolds who is in a coma       because of something her husband did to her. It is billed as a psychological       thriller. No word on when the project will air.                      [of course I will watch the reboot, as I am the new Charmed (not       particularly overwhelmed) and the new Roswell (seems to be better than       Charmed reboot)              David              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
