DeGeneres’ A Very Good Production put the adaptation       intodevelopment back in January. Oscar-nominated writer Robin Swicord will       bepenning the series adaptation based on the 2017 international bestseller.In       the series, Gellar        portrays Amber Reynolds, a woman who lands in a comaand doesn't know how she       got there--but she knows it wasn't by accident. Asthe series takes place with       flashes of her childhood, the week before hercoma and the present, she tries       piecing together what        happened. All sheknows is that her life is in danger, and someone--either her       unlovinghusband, her secret-keeping sister or her obsessive ex-boyfriend--is       notbeing truthful. Other than “Sometimes I Lie”, Gellar is also       developing        andstarring in “Other People’s Houses” for Fox. The second series is       also basedon a book by Abbi Waxman that is being described as a crossover       between “BigLittle Lies” and “Catastrophe.” The novel follows nine       people living in aquiet Los        Angeles neighborhood of Larchmont Village.
