From: daviderl31@yahoo.com              https://screenrant.com/buffy-vampire-slayer-funniest-characters-quotes/              Buffy: The 10 Funniest Characters In The Series (& Their Best Quote)              Buffy The Vampire Slayer is a series filled with hilarious characters. From       Spike to Oz, here are the funniest ones & their best quotes.              BY DANIEL SMITH              Buffy the Vampire Slayer featured a host of larger than life characters, in       their never-ending battle against the forces of darkness throughout the       shows seven seasons. The show was a mix of action, spooks and of course Joss       Whedon's trademark humor and witty dialogue.              As a result of this perfect blend of tones, the show garnered much success       and is a staple of popular culture. Its fan base is still passionate over a       decade after the show ended, and continues to grow because of the terrific       characters. With this in mind here are the                     10       Giles              Giles had a unique sense of humor among the gang. His uptight Britishness,       age, and above all else familiarity with all things supernatural and demonic       gave him the ability to make jokes no one else could.              There are so many great Giles quotes but one of the best has to be: "Demons       after money. Whatever Happened to the still-beating heart of a virgin. No       one has any standards anymore." Featured in season 3 episode 17 "Enemies",       perfectly encapsulated his sense of humor.                     9       Faith              From the beginning, it was clear that Faith had a darkness inside her,       though no one suspected to what extent. Her transformation to full-on       villain in season three and the major's right-hand woman brought out the       evil in her... and the fun.              The following quote perfectly sums up her dangerously funny attitude: "I'll       be sittin' at his right hand. Assuming he has hands after the       transformation. I'm not too clear on that part."                     8       Clement              Unlike other demons Clement wasn't all bad, though he may have included in       gambling for kittens, he was a pretty chill guy. Friend of Spike, Clement       crossed paths with the Scooby gang on numerous occasions.              His loose-fitting skin and floppy ears gave him a funny appearance, unlike       the terrifying faces most demons bear. Though he wasn't featured much       throughout the series, the way he introduced himself at a party in the       season 6 episode "Older and Far Away" is effortlessly relatable "Hi, I'm       Clement. Clem."                     7       Cordelia              Cordelia had sass by the gallon, though she grew and simmered down by       graduation she wasn't afraid to speak her mind. She was a unique component       of the group, almost a misfit among the misfits.              Though undoubtedly her dynamic with Xander was unique, and she was the most       brutally honest with and unafraid to point out his shortcomings."It must be       really hard when all your friends have, like superpowers: Slayer, werewolf,       witch, vampires, and you're, like, this little nothing".                     6       Willow              Willow changed dramatically from her first appearance in season one to the       final episode, but one thing that remained constant was her sense of humor       and ability to say the right funny thing to skim over the awkwardness of       high school life.              Neither was she afraid to stand up for herself. Demonstrated in the Season 3       episode "Choices": "It didn't have to be this way. But you made a choice. I       know you had a tough life. I know that some people think you had a lot of       bad breaks. Well, boo-hoo!".                     5       Oz              Oz had one of the most out-there and random minds of any member of the gang.       In fact he was never really trying to be funny, but his unprompted musings       on all things couldn't help but make those around him laugh.              Take for example his thoughts on gatherings, shindigs, and hootenannies;       "Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less       mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverages; and       hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoote, just a little bit of nanny."                     4       Xander              Though he may not have possessed any powers or amazing abilities, Xander was       an integral part of the group. He was the everyman, the normalcy. And as a       result of this had a different and often funny take on almost every       situation the gang found themselves in.              His attitude is perfectly illustrated with the following quote: "I hate my       uncle. I hate my whole family. That's why I'm marrying you, to start a new       family. Have children, make them hate us. Then one day, they'll get married,       we'll sleep on their couch. It's the circle of life."                     3       Anya              Former vengeance demon Anya had a dramatic transformation and was forced to       put the vengeance aside to live like a mortal. She fell for Xander and       almost married him.              While she enjoyed most aspects of her newfound life, she was more than happy       to make it clear when something didn't sit right with her. Particularly       regarding her marriage vows: "I promise to love you, to cherish you, to       honor you, uh, not to obey you, of course, because that's anachronistic and       misogynistic and who do you think you are, like a sea captain or something?"                     2       Buffy Summers              Despite the ups and downs of her life, the tragedy, and the triumph, Buffy       always kept her chin up and retained her sense of humor. It was one of her       defining qualities, with a quip ratio to rival Spidey.              Whether facing off against the demonic forces of the Hellmouth or with the       other forces of darkness, like high schoolers, she dispatched jokes easier       than vamps. Particularly Cordelia: "Cordelia. Your mouth is open, sound is       coming from it. This is never good."                     1       Spike              Spike had a sense of humor like no other, he is a century-old vampire after       all. He always spoke his mind, no matter how dark the contents or how little       everyone around him wanted to hear it.              He quickly became a fan favorite, and it's not difficult to see why, with       quotes like: "Oh please! if every vampire who said he was at the crucifixion       was actually there, it would have been like Woodstock. I was actually at       Woodstock. That was a weird gig. I fed off a flower person, and I spend the       next few hours watching my hand move." Spike earned his place as one of the       all-time great vamps.                                   David              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
