   Nothing about the group made any sense and it's only purpose was to move   
   a lackluster plot along. And, as per usual, there were convenient    
   coincidences:   
      
   Buffy meeting and dating Riley (the team's leader) almost as soon as she   
   got to college.   
      
   Buffy being in Maggie Walsh's (the team's supervisor) class.   
      
   Buffy encountering Riley while fighting The Gentlemen.
