   We watched Statis Leak just the other night and it was the first time   
   I can recall catching on to all of the potential plot holes and/or   
   paradoxes that episode introduces.   
      
   They find out about the statis leak because Lister reads Rimmer's   
   journal in the future that describes the situation where the future   
   Rimmer travels has back in time to tell the past Rimmer that they've   
   found a stasis leak on floor 16.  So the future Rimmer tells the past   
   Rimmer about the stasis leak, but the future Rimmer doesn't find out   
   about it until he reads his journal account.   
      
   Also, did the stasis leak just automagically close up?  Why didn't   
   they go back and talk to Hollister to convince him not to let Rimmer   
   repair the drive plate?
