   I think one of hyperdrives main weaknesses lies in their 'rimmeresque'   
   charachter, am not really into it enough to remember names but the XO who is   
   constantly going around attacking people seems to be their rimmer style   
   charachter and the problem with the charachter, it seems to me, is that he   
   doesnt only *believe* he is the most competent person on the ship, he   
   actually *is* the most competent person on the ship, and by an extremely   
   significant margin, in spite of his psycholtic tendencies, it is a little   
   hard to be humouressly annoyed, as we so often were with chris barrie, at   
   his pompous behaviour when the charachter clearly has a valid claim to his   
   air of superiority.
