   It was. Grant Naylor Productions denied that it had even happened for   
   a time while the rumours were initially circulating and everyone was   
   waiting for the new book, but I later heard that it was an acrimonious   
   split. Never did find out quite what it was over, though.   
      
   It's good that they're on good terms again, but I really doubt that   
   they could recapture the same working style and produce material in   
   the same vein as their original stuff, now. There's been too much   
   time, too much working alone. They're older, have different world   
   views, and they're almost certainly not as close and on the same   
   wavelength like they would have been before. Plus, by season 6 people   
   were saying they were burnt out anyway, and all the repeated joke   
   style stuff was tiresome.
