   OK...given that this is a silly TV show and that there are many, many plot   
   holes, inconsistencies, and outright suppositions, would you like some   
   toast?   
      
   Seriously, though, let's assume for a moment that Grant and Naylor thought   
   this one through. The Dimension Drive would have sought out alternative   
   Rimmers in alternate universes. Time would not have been a factor; the drive   
   would have sought out Rimmer regardless of him being in the same "time" or   
   3,000,000 years in the future.
