   An homage can take many forms. And in the world of movies and   
   television, this is one of them. Ripping off is when you "deprive   
   somebody of something by deceit" which would mean trying to make it seem   
   like that was all an original idea. Since they gave credit to the   
   original material, it's an homage in my book.
