   I got a chance today to catch up on a few repeat airings from the   
   holiday season today and there sure are some changes!   
      
   PABF18 (Adventures in Baby-Getting)'s original airing opened with a 79-   
   second special piece about the upcoming election instead of a standard   
   opening sequence. The repeat used a short opening with   
   -clouds (R to L) Itchy flying a prop plane with Scratchy screaming on   
   the propeller   
   -a new couch gag where layers of the family's bodies are added   
   gradually   
   (in the holiday rush I forgot that I'd wanted to see if this would   
   have any differences and was only checking to see if football was done   
   on time - I realized a minute later and then started recording!).   
   Probably about 25 seconds, certainly not full-length, even though the   
   original opening was just as long as a full opening and the episode   
   was at max length.   
   Since the repeat had a standard opening, the opening credits are   
   shifted a bit (the times when credits appear are the same though). The   
   original airing included the created/developed by with the rest of the   
   credits. The repeat loses those two but finishes 6 names earlier, so   
   it must also have started them 4 earlier.   
      
      
   RABF01 (To Cur with Love) repeated only a week after its original   
   airing on 12/16, because various places didn't air it at all that   
   first time. However! The original airing had a clouds-only opening   
   (about 6 seconds) and a copy of the "Mr. Burns explains the fiscal   
   cliff" video between the executive producers and the rest of the   
   credits (about 68 seconds); as with PABF18 one would not expect the   
   latter to be part of the episode for long. In the repeat:   
   -between the clouds and act 1, though not framed as part of a normal   
   opening (such as driveway and TV), is a repeat of the long Bill   
   Plympton couch gag from PABF11, clocking in at about 78 seconds   
   -the fiscal cliff video is gone; funny, as the airdate was still well   
   before the deadline hit or any deals were struck (I would have   
   expected it to stay on)   
   -because of the couch gag, Plympton's name is added to the "also   
   starring" screen (for an unusual total of 4 names - the rest were also   
   not shifted up) and there is one screen of credits for that gag, which   
   delay the next batch of credits; the final credits flash more quickly   
   so that there is no time change.   
      
   PABF16 (Gone Abie Gone) repeated on 12/30 and the original airing   
   referred to the election results in the blackboard gag; I didn't   
   manage to see the repeat but I meant to see if that changed. It seems   
   less likely. But does anyone know?   
      
   Presumably the third airings will match the second airings, too.
