One nice thing about bringing Zooey Deschanel/Mary Spuckler       back for a third appearance is that we can jump right into the plot       without introducing someone new (and have a deeper story with her).       Bart's Woody Allen narration device was certainly interesting. That       much I did like. I wasn't crazy about the men-of-Springfield-suck-at-       relationships story (along with its similarity to I'm with Cupid       [AABF11] in particular, other stuff like Moe Letter Blues [MABF13] as       well), and little bits throughout just kind of rubbed me the wrong way       (themselves balanced by some decent gags). Thus, OK, but I like the       spirit.              Also, like this post, it's very short. Good night.              DYN:       ...another Wilhelm scream in another video game on the show?              Previous episode stuff       3F18: Mary's "call my mother" gag (where it turns out she's just       yelling) is very similar to her dad's              Meta       In additon to a number of running gags and catchphrases in the       episode, Mary mentions that she can't tell where Bart's hair meets his       forehead (interestingly he has slightly a different yellow color for       his Woody Allen hair).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
