   No, it could just be a poseur.   
      
   It's easy, especially in the internet age, for people to take up the   
   trappings of the fan or the follower or whatever.  They dont' have to do   
   much, they don't have to change, they just spew the buzzwords and get the   
   tshirt.  This was always true (Homer is an example, the time he became a   
   hippy is pertinent, yet I think he's done it other times), but it actually   
   becomes easier with the internet.   
      
   And it becomes sad but amusing.  The most ardent followers are often the   
   ones who have changed the least, but they can spew the buzzwords wtihout a   
   thought, without a grimace, so they initially seem to be "deep followers"   
   while the ones who don't spew the buzzwords seem like the "outsiders".   
   But often it's the reverse, the ones who are most blatantly replaying   
   those black power slogans may be the least important.
