From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Eh, all right. I'd probably like it better if I watched Homeland. The mystery       element was fun but the actual scheme, and Homer's extremely quick reversion       to his former self, didn't do it for me. (The examination of a bland good       homer in DABF05, Jaws        Wired Shut, seemed better.)              Did anyone else get a test pattern followed by several bouts of blank screen       during almost the entire opening and a few parts of Act 1, as well as kind of       muted colors during the first act or two? I don't know if it was the Fox       network or just my        affiliate messing up, but that was pretty annoying.                     DYN:       ...they're still spelling it "carumba"?       ...another extremely short fourth act (18 seconds)? Also, a very short       episode, yet again, at 21 minutes.              Previous episode stuff       1F08: Scarecrow's Pythagorean theorem line       8F03: Fresh Burritos Instantly truck quite similar to Flowers By Irene              Meta:       -Ay carUmba, Haw Haw tombstones       -"I'm Bart Simpson, who the hell are you?"       -Other current Fox animation families in the closing credits, with       recently-cancelled The Cleveland Show getting the boot              For what it's worth, the football game ended in plenty of time and the show       started at 8, though I wonder if the technical glitches I noted above are       related.              Also, welcome to the new Google Groups, I guess. Is there any way to cc myself       like I used to??              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
