From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Decent installment in the Krusty-and-his-father series, though for       Krusty-in-show-biz that seems to be done to death. Lisa's plot of worry about       Homer's mortality (which reminds me of 8F22 at least if not other episodes)       was interesting but then got very        spotty and unfocused (not being just about his unhealthy lifestyle) and       wrapped up a little too quickly. Actually the Krusty plot did too. The whole       episode was very short (especially with a 2-minute couch gag), but maybe there       was another way. Anyway,        just about time for the Family Guy crossover...                     DYN:       ...Arthur Crandall and Gabbo pay their respects to Rabbi Krustofski?       ...Krusty's mother's name was Rachel?       ...Krusty's old clips (new for this episode, not from old Simpsons episodes)       are shown in 4:3 (and his newer ones are widescreen)?              Returning guest stars (as themselves and not their Simpsons characters):       Sarah Silverman (MABF07, PABF21)       David Hyde Pierce (4F14, KABF01)       in a sense, Rodney Dangerfield (4F05), though he's dead now and voiced by       Maurice LaMarche                     Meta       The couch gag involves regressing Homer to 4/19/87, the day the first Ullman       short aired. And then all that future stuff... is something to behold.              Dedication       A brief one, after the executive producer credits, to Louis Castellaneta, who       I assume is Dan's father; fitting as Dan does the voice of both Homer and       Krusty, who were (in different ways) involved in the paternal-death plots.       (See also KABF12, Mona        Leaves-A, with Dan and Homer's mothers.) This seems more likely to stay on       repeats.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
