From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Well that was stupid. Also incredibly short, even with a minute-long filler       bit at the end (why not trot out a full-length opening THEN, anyway?).              What was the couch gag a parody of? I couldn't even hazard a guess, unless       it's very loosely Cheers-ish.                            DYN/WTF...       ...Flanders' electrical panel with the circuit breakers is on the outside of       his house (and has a label for "kid's bedroom" - singular kid)?       ...the "turkey" Marge feeds Mr. Teeny is so white it looks like he's eating       napkins?       ...there are fries at this sandwich shop (not the sort of place that would       have them)?       ...people pay with a LOT of loose change and a LOT of pennies?                     Previous episode stuff       EABF16: Flanders' "Beatles bunker" referenced on electrical panel       4F17: Ketchup/catsup       4F08: Marge has limited success with a food franchise (also Gil works in       heavily; he wasn't around in season 8 but is clearly based on the sort of       character Jack Lemmon voiced)       1F12: Grampa working the drive-thru              Meta       Marge wonders what kind of corporation blah blah blah money, and a giant Fox       bug pops up while half the fanfare plays.       Caveman Homer's "d'oh" is subtitled as "annoyed grunt".                     Dedication       Hope you recorded it. Jan Hooks (original and occasional voice of Manjula)       died last week and got a dedication with a picture of Manjula at the end of       the credits before the Gracie logo (though while the music was still going).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
