From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Ooh, well I have no idea where the idea for this episode came from but it was       certainly unlike what we've seen before. I liked it, as well as the way the       focus was largely off the family, and the more subtle nature of some of the       little gags (the cat        pipe, Maggie voting, Dopey ear wiggle) in addition to pretty fun moments       throughout.              DYN:       ...the opening sequence's cloud entry also had a princess (Penelope)?       ...Lisa's unwillingness to eat her vaguely soggy lunch seems uncharacteristic?              Previous episode stuff       TABF04, TABF07: Elon Musk's recent adventure mentioned again (and with Richard       Branson in the episode, it's like the transportation mogul adventures)       AABF23: Homer's mentions of Studio 54, CBGB, The Roxbury bring to mind the       Brown Derby/that's-where-it-used-to-be moment       JABF06: Jon Lovitz as paparazzo seems to be the same as in this episode, or       else very similar              Meta stuff       -the princess counts to 5 on her fingers and has to use two hands       -"this is my first montage"       -Homer's argument to the king includes the point that you can't strangle a       girl (unlike the way he gets to do it to Bart, goes the implication)                     Leonard Nimoy dedication       Yes, as Leonard Nimoy (9F10, 3G01) died last week, there was a quick       dedication to him with a still image from 3G01. This one was more prominently       placed (just before the executive producers), perhaps both because of his       greater fame and also because        putting it between the execs and regular cast would split up the credits       music. As usual, I wouldn't expect it to turn up in the episode ever again.              Speaking of which, last week's 2/22 repeat of TABF05 (Bart's New Friend) was,       not surprisingly, aired without the quick "Je suis Charlie" graphic that ran       after act 3, so there's the report on that.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
