From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Surprisingly good - though I suppose I also thought it was going to be a       football episode and a "going to" episode. Turned out to be more like 3F23       (You Only Move Twice), after all, and it grabbed me in a way that recently       only Selman episodes seem to.        Mixed feelings about the somewhat downer ending (especially for Lisa), but       overall enjoyable. (And lest anyone think my gripes about episode lengths are       irrelevant because of the way TV's getting, I'll point out that this was only       14 seconds shy of the        current max, not 40-50.)              Don: I assume the East was not part of the weird scheduling for tonight; for       what it's worth, football ended a little after 7, and at 7:09 the short NABF21       opening ran, followed by TABF22 joined in progress at 7:12.                     DYN:       ...the Krusty-Os box asks if you've eaten "too much Krusty-Os" (not too many)?       ...Springfield is 1000 miles away from Boston?       ...some fairly Silverman-esque posing when Homer can't bear to wear the hat?              Previous episode stuff (yes, many of these are just Boston-related things       mentioned that were also in other episodes)       KABF06, if only tangentially: Bart's Departed obsession       8F08: Aerosmith mentioned, short bits of "Flaming Moe's" song (more like it       than Cheers theme) play in act 2       5F10: Stephen Wright mentioned       VABF18: just in last week's episode, Oculus Rifts and Homer's mysteriously       resurrected interest in bowling       AABF20: Taxachusetts              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
