but there wasnt any news about that was it? the characters are mostly likely   
   to remain there but silent. the Simpsons need to end and reboot, or a spin off   
   - if anything. I bet they still want to make profit out of it. I honestly   
   believe more in the    
   power of movies. dragon ball super movies where a hot among all kind of fans,   
   while the series isnt. so maybe the Simpsons can make such thing - and get the   
   chance to re cast several characters if not all of them
