From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Eh, fine? It's odd to get an anthology/historical episode like this right       after the Roman one (and I know they're not in production order, but they're       still only 3 apart by that measure). A bunch of stuff to hang gags on, and       that was OK, although I was        unable to identify the majority of stuff in Bart's segment, and it didn't help       that he and his pals were never named. Call me uncultured, but throw me a       bone, huh? (Also, bottom third Fox promos are back?)              Previous episode stuff       AABF21 couch gag: Matt Groening's signature in the corner       8F18, 3F24, MABF09: At Seventeen used/reimagined       7F18: Straighter version of the "I don't know art, but I know what I like" line              Wokely recast voice #2: Bumblebee Man                     Hurry it up, will ya?       Tonight's 7:00 repeat of ZABF03 (Livin' La Pura Vida) was compressed by quite       a bit, and timing changes between network airings have not been unheard of       throughout the last three decades, but they have been fairly rare, especially       in the last two decades.        From an original 21:29 runtime, it's been evenly compressed to an even 21       minutes, which is even shorter than the new average length. I also see that       this is the first season 31 repeat since season 32 began, and I wonder if       that's a factor. We'll see as        other (in-season and out-of-season) repeats occur.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
