|    Notes for ZABF22 (Podcast News)    |

From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              Pretty good, minus a bit of a dip halfway. I'm familiar with these podcasts       and that helped, but it was mostly just an enjoyable little mystery in classic       style. I know I tend to fawn all over Selman episodes, but on top, a writing       credit for David X.        Cohen? Not a bad combination.              DYN:       ...as the show ages it's less and less believable for Abe to have fought in       WWII (he'd have to be at least in his 90s now)?              Previous episode stuff       FABF18: another Broadcast News title parody (both owing, one assumes, to the       James L. Brooks connection)              Meta       Yeardley Smith appears as herself because she has a true crime podcast (I       didn't even know this), coyly denying being known for anything else.       Episode production code ZABF22 is Abe's mug shot number.              The voice mystery continues       Is Harry Shearer still the voice of Judge Snyder and Dr. Hibbert in this       episode? They both sound like they usually do, but between the later       production order and calendar date, I would have expected a swap by now. I see       Alex Désert (apparently only new        Carl) credited, maybe for crowd scenes, but no one else that might fit the       bill. Previously recast voices, I think, had all been Hank's. If it's not       someone new, did Harry have more contractual pull, or what?              Transmission error       Did anyone else experience freezing and stuttering in the Fox feed just before       and during the start of act 2? Maybe it was my local station or cable company.       But I guess that's another reason to tune in for the rerun (see below)...              A dedication I've waited all week for       Alex Trebek died, or at least the news broke, last Sunday afternoon,       presumably not quite enough time to stick a dedication in. This week, we get       the usual "in loving memory of" before the Gracie logo, with a wide shot of       him (and Marge and other        contestants) from 5F07. Expect that to be gone next time.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
