   Strange structure. It's not terribly new for the plot to wait till act 2 to   
   get going, but it was odd that the resolution just sort of willed itself into   
   existence (same as Homer's resolution to be a good family man) - leaving half   
   an act to fill, with    
   more or less three minutes of weird A. Brooks riffing aimlessly. And it felt   
   like Colonel Homer (8F19) meets Yokel Chords (JABF09), with not much to add.

   8F19: Homer seems to refer to his time managing Lurleen (I once managed a   
   woman who was not my wife)   
      
   New Lou sounds even more different than new Carl.

   Renew, renew, renew   
   Saw the article about the next 2-season renewal for the show. (I can't imagine   
   season 33's green light is news, since they must be in the middle of making it   
   already!) So, up through season 34, eh? I wonder if anyone feels sheepish   
   about following Z with    
   Q, since that seems to leave U for 33 and then backtracking YET AGAIN to I or   
   O for 34. Could that maybe be the end, though? The article says that at the   
   end of season 34, the show will have "produced" 757 episodes - at the current   
   rate, only 750 would    
   normally air by then, with 7 holdovers. But it didn't say air. I suppose   
   whether it's not renewed or just ends on its own, whenever it happens,   
   something'll have to happen to handle the remainder. Extra long season? Extra   
   extra short season? Who knows?
