   Are titles paid by the word now? Why can't this or Warrin' Priests include   
   "part 1" in there? Anyway, I guess I'll reserve judgment till next week, but   
   despite the tone so dark Fox had to add a viewer discretion warning it's not   
   bad so far. However: the    
   Fargo-esque parody note that it's all made up may explain why characters are   
   dying off, but then what reason do we have to care about the suspense or   
   mystery? Eh. Also, is this supposed to be the same Barbara we saw with   
   Sideshow Mel all those years ago?    
   They look nothing alike, even in the old photos, and yet this could have been   
   such a great deep callback (still allowing her to look and sound like the   
   Minnesotan type here, perhaps through an evolution in looks). It's not as bad   
   as the total recasting    
   of Sarah Wiggum, at least. Till next week!

   Alternate version alert   
   Even as a joke, that little Netflix-y corner popup announcing the start of the   
   next episode is very annoying. But note that tonight it said 6 days, 23 hours,   
   etc. I would not be surprised if next Sunday's encore before Part 2 updates it   
   to 5 minutes or    
   something. On the other hand, maybe it won't; it is, after all, before a   
   commercial break, not in the last minute. I'll be recording just in case!
