   We see a skit where Skinner is tied to a post about to be burnt by the towns   
   people for stating the Earth is round.   
      
   This proves that in 1995 the The Simpsons started the flat Earth Movement, in   
   a time where few people were dialing into the internet to spread   
   misinformation, though some were doing it through Internet Billboards, which   
   kept them from playing Dungeons    
   And Dragons as you could only dial into one Billboard at a time.
