From: garvey@simpsonsarchive.com              Yikes. Good job keeping the actual premise hidden behind a fake title/listing,       I guess, but though the idea of a surprise was welcome, the content was not.       There were a few inspired moments (such as acknowledging some "show-ruining"       real clips, the idea        that Homer hallucinated hundreds of episodes back in season 2...), but it was       mostly just random stupid crap. A showcase of amusing-in-isolation moments       that were truly cut for just being too silly could have been interesting, like       deleted scenes on a        DVD, but I don't believe most of these could possibly fit that description.       The Disney biting-the-hand humor feels completely toothless, too. This has       nothing on 3F18, or even the "future" lines of DABF12's "They'll Never Stop       the Simpsons." Perhaps it's        time for those last 3 words.                     DYN:       ...the opening credits finished in half a minute to fit in before the real       storyline, as opposed to two or three minutes (frankly I'm surprised anyone       wants to take credit)?              Goof:       Even at the start of a word, an apostrophe should still curl to the left       (’), so ‘STACHE in one of the title cards is wrong.              Previous episode stuff (some clips in 4:3, nice) and meta       7G08: Future Bart warps into the first episode to divulge future secrets       5F01: Sleep-Eazy motel       4F18: Mr. Sparkle in one of the punny episode title illustrations       BABF09 (the famous jockey song), EABF19 (was the bear/dump scene really a huge       low point?): Some real clips of maximum damage moments mixed in with fake       stuff, though I can't be bothered to identify several others       7F06: Homer dreamed over 700 episodes in a 2-day coma sustained after his       Springfield Gorge jump (including specific references to AABF03, 1F13)              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
