   My wife walked in about half-way through the episode and asked why   
   they're living in a fancy house now.  I explained that it was sort of   
   a "It's a Wonderful Life" thing where they're seeing what life would   
   have been like if Bart was never born.  So her obvious next question   
   was "Then why is Bart living with them?"  Yeah, that plot made very   
   little sense.
