From: garvey@simpsonsarchive.com              Reasonably good (and a relief after some of the episodes this season), with an       exaggerated but still grounded plot and good blending with social commentary.       It had some problems but still held together.              Other thoughts:       ...the gambling "help" number has a redundancy (in "overr8ted")       ...now there's a crawl space instead of the basement?       ...Lisa rejects the word "homeless" but has no problem with "crazy cat lady"?       ...Marge somehow copyrighted "her" shade of blue even though it turns out to       be a standard Clairol one (to say nothing of the backwardness of suing PBR,       successfully!, for using "her" blue ribbon)?       ...Lisa recognizes the "emeritus" title as being unceremoniously fired; I       wonder what Alf Clausen thinks about that!              And Mr. Burns's voice sounds WAY, WAY off. Harry Shearer is still credited,       and most of the cast's rise in age is starting to show, but I have to wonder       whether he's starting to have trouble doing this voice or whether someone else       is starting to take        that role and/or others of his (or even just doing a last-minute loop when       Harry was unavailable).              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
