From: garvey@simpsonsarchive.com              Weird episode, not terrible but didn't do a lot for me. A lot of outlandish       premises thrown together at once (when focus on one might have been best).       Johnny Tightlips's lips don't seem quite so tight anymore.              Previous episode stuff       2F12: Krusty opens a clowning school and gets into major trouble with Fat       Tony's gang       UABF17: the green Pennywise parody is at the clown bar       3G03: Bart's maxim of "cut the treacle" is very similar to his declaration of       cutting through it              Math nerd stuff       If the axes are to scale on that classroom drawing of a parabola, it can't be       y=25-x^2 (which would have it crossing the y axis at 25, not 5); y=5-(x^2)/5       describes that drawing if each tick mark is 1 unit.       Also, y=x^2+C is not "the" equation for a parabolic curve, and that doesn't       even cover the downward-pointing example shown earlier! There are several ways       to express a parabola, but a simple example for a vertically aligned one would       be y=ax^2+bx+c.              The ongoing revoiced Lunchlady Doris list       HABF15, JABF02, KABF06, LABF08, MABF12, NABF11, NABF13, NABF15,       NABF16, PABF06, PABF15, PABF19, RABF03, RABF09, RABF10, RABF11,       SABF07, TABF16, XABF21, ZABF06, ZABF08, QABF03, QABF12, UABF19,       OABF15              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
