From: mxg77@po.cwru.edu              OK future episode, but nothing special. Nice way to explore a plotline       the usual ages don't support. At least it was not trying to be something       profound or emotional (I think), and casually jumping in by a few years'       time jump thanks to another couch gag to set the scene, as opposed to a       framing device, helped keep it simple. But it seemed oddly basic and       obvious, like a pilot episode for a new show that has to establish its       characters and not get too adventurous with the plot (the Escape       callback gives this tone too). I did appreciate the little bit of       commentary on the prioritization of ED while other healthcare and health       rights are ignored. And I have no idea what is going on with Sarah       Wiggum's voice *now*, or how the kids aged 6 years while Marge only did 4.              This episode carries a rare TV-14-DLS warning beforehand, I am guessing       for the Bart-adult-content plotline, but maybe the ED stuff or just       squeamishness about words like period and menopause.              Another one in the Co-EP slot this week: Brian Kelley.              Meta       Looks like another setup for non-baby Maggie not to speak, but then she       defies Marge and speaks plenty. Who did the voice? Sounded like Nancy       but then I can't figure out what else guest star Lindsay Lohan would do.              Previous episode stuff       4F24: That rascal Jasper got frozen in a store again              Dedication       Tonight's episode is dedicated to architect Frank Gehry, who died on the       5th at 96 years old. The image would seem to be from his cameo in       GABF08, although I haven't double checked.       By the way, back in 2003 when Homer announced his email address in       EABF03, and I tested it out to see if it was real, I got a nice reply       from one of the writers (Tim Long?), who recognized my email domain and       asked if I was enjoying the new Gehry-designed building. A nice touch.              --- SoupGate-Win32 v1.05        * Origin: you cannot sedate... all the things you hate (1:229/2)    |
