   Very good point, and it prompted me to do some extensive research (OK, it   
   was the first page that I found).   
      
   The following link says that there's nothing in the Quran that prohibits   
   images of anyone at all, and that the Hadith prohibits depictions of any   
   living beings.  There's nothing specific about Muhammad or any other   
   prophet.
