   "Charlie" is one of those episodes (see also "Man Trap", "Enemy   
   Within", and "Return of the Archons") made when TOS was going for the   
   eerie feeling of Outer Limits or Twilight Zone. Not a great episode by   
   any measure, but far from the worst.   
      
   Curious about "Corbomite" which I think most fans consider one of   
   Trek's best. But to each his own.   
      
   "Alternative Factor" is by far the worst of the first season.
