   Sirs, I remember years ago a Twilight Zone episode that involved a   
   little boy living on a farm who sees a giant ape creature and tell his   
   family, who thinks it just a child's fantasy. then one morning they   
   find a giant ape footprint. Some men come by armed with rifles and   
   shotguns, and while last scene focuses on the boy inside you can hear   
   the men outside yelling as they encounter the creature(which is never   
   shown) and you hear gunshots, they then set the woods on fire. After   
   the episode Rod Serling, standing among the smoking remnants of the   
   woods, scoops a handful of ashes and says no bones were ever found in   
   the ashes. I was very small (mid-1960s) when this aired but have never   
   seen or heard of this episode since. I would sure appreciate it if you   
   could possibly id it for me.
