   "Eres siempre mi amor� te amo."   
      
   Monica's voice is still so sweet, ringing in my ear.   
      
   Those were the last words she said to me before I fell asleep with her   
   in my arms. I woke   
   up this morning and she was gone. I dropped by her office this morning   
   and none of her   
   belongings were there.   
      
   She's disappeared, run away, and gave no reasons why. Was it something   
   I said? Was it   
   something I did?   
      
   If I'm always her love� why'd she leave me without a trace?   
      
   I can't concentrate. The paperwork is piling up on my desk.   
      
   My phone rings, my private line. I hope it's her. I pick up the receiver.   
      
   "FBI, I need another favor. Friend of mine needs out of a problem�   
   fraud. Meet me at   
   Carlo's at the usual time for payment and instructions."   
      
   It's Nicholas Rigali.   
      
   "Sure. I'll be there." I'm reluctant.   
      
   I hang up. I'd do anything to get out of that deal. Playing with the   
   mob is bound to get   
   someone hurt.
