(this works in Word,       if you're using another word processor, copy a paragraph marker and paste       it into the search field of search and replace to see what it looks like.)              1. Search on ^p^p and replace with any character that's not present       elsewhere in the file. (^ is the character above the number 6 on your       keyboard.)              2. Search on ^p and replace with nothing. (Leave the replace field blank.)              3. Search on the character selected in step one, and replace with ^p^p       (restores blank lines between paragraphs).              If the story uses tabs and no blank lines, you should just need to do step       2.
