   Oh noooo! =;-(

Ohohoh. I was hoping it would last much longer than just one
   more story! Not the Mulder-keeping-his-secret-from-Scully
aspect -- but even after that's resolved, just seeing Mulder
investigating various casefiles with his current abilities
would continue to be fascinating (and satisfying, and darkly
humourous, and everything else that it's been so far. ;-)

Sooooo, if you ever feel the need to dip into another casefile
in this AU after the series concludes, it would be most welcome!

Meanwhile, my much-delayed feedback for what we've seen so far:

   1. Coolness. Coolness, coolness, coolness.

   2. Instead of having to
carry that infra-red-o-meter around with him everywhere, surely
the Gunmen could help him make one that looked like a cell phone
[complete with handy little viewscreen] -- or incorporate it
into an existing cell phone -- or build it into his wristwatch or
something, so it could be less conspicuous and easier to handle?

   3. Krycek -- PERFECT. Clyde Bennett's demise -- a huge relief.
Made me cheer. Liked lines like "Krycek's report was vague
to the point of incoherence, which was exactly the effect
he'd hoped for." Ha! ;-D Hope the new arm takes. ;-)

   4. In "Insight III" --

: Perhaps a fish tank would help.
   :
: Or not. More lives to lose.

On a second reading, this cracked me up. Couldn't help picturing
poor Mulder being haunted by the floaty ghosts of every single
fish who's ever died under his tender loving care.

   Also liked,

   : "Hi, Alex. I'm home."

   8-)

   5. I really, really, really liked the whole part about Mulder
helping to resolve other profiling veterans' most haunting old
unsolved cases, thus finally bringing them peace and allowing
them to retire. When I figured out what was going on (way back
in one of the earlier stories, forgot which one), it took my
breath away. Truly, deeply moving. It reminded me of poor
Tim Bayliss keeping Adena Watson's picture on his desk all
those years on HOMICIDE:LOTS and never really getting over it.
If only Mulder could help Tim with that case someday before he
retires (or loses it, or kills himself, or gets himself killed,
or whatever ending is in store for him in that universe).
Too bad he probably wouldn't be able to help poor MONK figure
out whose car bomb killed his wife, since I doubt her ghost
could provide any further insight into the event ...

   6. One question: Samantha. Is she dead? (Fine with me if she's
not -- I always hoped that Diner!Samantha was the real deal.)
Will he ever see her if she is?
