   Exactly. Xena was as fooled as Gabrielle, which again is what I think the   
   root of her guilt is. She's Xena, she coulda/shoulda/woulda been able to   
   prevent this. And yeah, there was no reason for Xena to believe Ares, even   
   though he was telling the truth. Another guilt mark for her, because she was   
   told, even though it was far from a reliable source. But Xena's already to   
   accept more guilt, even if she wasn't to blame, because she feels she   
   deserves it.
