            Thinking about 'Between the Lines'---   
            When Xena was transported into Arminestra (more about THAT later),   
   she was an old woman.   
   But considering that people back then didn't live very long, and led *very*   
   hard lives, I think she   
   was about 50, more or less.   
            And when Gabrielle was transported into Shakti, he seemed to be about   
   20, more or less.   
   But let's just go with the round numbers for now.   
            That means that Arminestra was 30 years older than Shakti.   
            So, assuming (possibly erroneously) that when someone dies, their   
   soul immediately moves   
   into its next body, that would mean that Gabrielle lived 30 more years after   
   Xena died. (I wonder   
   if this fact was somewhere in the back of Rob's mind when he killed off Xena   
   in FIN.)   
           And how do the Elysian Fields figure into all this?   
            Now, about this transporting thing. Xena and Gabrielle's body   
   disappeared from their   
   "present". So what happened to their bodies when they went to their "future"?    
   Were they just   
   stuffed into Arminestra and Shakti's bodies somehow?   
            What about their past and present souls -- one body sharing another   
   body and two souls?   
   But if there is only one soul, how is it that Naiyima was able to send them   
   into the future AND   
   what happened to their past bodies?   
            And since Xena and Gabrielle only recognized each other after they   
   were stuffed into the A   
   & S's bodies, does that mean that even though they are destined to find each   
   other in every future   
   life, they will only know they should be together and never know about Xena   
   and Gabrielle? (And   
   just when DID they become soul mates? With X&G, or in some (distant) past   
   life?)   
            And if they meet somewhere in the future and one is a man and one is   
   a woman, will they   
   fall in love and have children? And how will that impact their (possible)   
   offspring?  Will they   
   know their descendants if they meet them in a future life?   
   ...............   
            It's amazing the things you think about when you wake up an hour   
   before the alarm clock   
   goes off and you can't get back to sleep and you don't want to get up.
