A few comments of my own --
#1 & 9.) A lot of problems with raising enough money to finance either
a made for TV or big
screen movie. Apparently TPTB just don't realize how large and how devoted the
fan base is. And I
have to give Rob kudos for wanting to use his money before taking it from the
fans.
#3.) Never thought about it, but the series was very much about
Gabrielle's growth.
#6.) Also I have to agree that if Gabrielle HAD died with Xena, it
would have been less
traumatic for us fans than Gabrielle having to go on alone. But I can't agree
that Xena's death
was necessary for Gabrielle to take the next step in her life.
#50. Can't blame either Lucy or Renee for wanting a break from XWP
after six grueling
years, especially since Renee was pregnant when the series ended.
# 51. "...But FINS would have been remembered differently!!!!!" If
only (sigh)...!
#53. I have to disagree that "Takes One To Know One" was a bad ep. I
kind of liked it.
(after a quick check, I see I rated it an 8 out of 10). And Rob and I agree
about the first season.
I said in my synopsis at the end of Season One -- "But the first season is
always the practice
one - trying out different things. Seeing what works and what doesn't."
#55. Rob indicated that the middle of Season Five wasn't so good.
Figure that the middle
included episodes 8 - 16, only #8 (Little Problems) and #15 (Mar
ied/Fishsticks) got a 6. The rest
were all rated 8, 8.5, or 9.
#59. "Personally, I think that Xena was going to pull the Bill
Clinton thing . . . oral
sex doesn't count." I had a comment, but nothing I could say could top THAT!!
