A couple things I left out.
Mean man Victor Burnett had a son, Will, who was the opposite of
   Victor. He works in the
church until a new priest/pastor can be found. Violet went into the church
   when she first came to
town and she and Will met, and took a shine to each other. At the end Victor
   can't kill Harmon
Teaster so he shoots at Violet. Will dives in front of the her and is shot and
   killed by his
   father.
Violet is an Indian, presumably Cherokee, and very attractive. Old
   Harmon speaks as you
would expect for an illiterate backwoodsman/mountain man - bad grammar and
   mispronunciation of
words. Somehow Violet uses perfect grammar and correct pronunciation. Her
   English shouldn't have
   been so perfect.

   movie. LJ goes into a

   > About ten minutes later Victor calls in his gang to have them search for

   the end. Although
   > she wears a pistol, her weapon of choice is a rifle.
   >
   > After Harmon kills a couple of men at night, the final shootout is the

   > about 6 or 8 guns on his side. Some of the townspeople are tired of Victor's

   > Harmon and the sheriff and his deputy. There is a total of maybe 15 people
   involved in the
   > shootout, but only five or six survive.

   > The movie started out kind of slow with flashbacks and forwards which

   > But after a while things were starting to get interesting as the climax drew
