   I've talked to a lady on last.fm who regrets that typecasting is less   
   common nowadays than it used to be. She pointed out that actors who do   
   allow themselves to get typecast obviously are not in it for the money.   
      
   I thought that was an interesting perspective. Perhaps people should   
   stop assuming that every artist just wants to be rich and famous, and   
   those who don't get famous are just not talented or smart enough. If you   
   stop and think about it, why is it so outrageous that some artists   
   really might be doing art for themselves without caring (so much) for   
   success? L'art pour l'art, isn't that what it should be like?
